About Mikki

I have a passion for food and love helping people make food choices that are not only practical and tasty, but also meet their nutritional goals.  My physical activity background, both in my tertiary studies and my sporting endeavours enable me to help individuals make healthier lifestyle choices for weight management. In addition, this experience allows me to work with athletes to optimise their training and performance goals through sound sports nutrition principles that fit into their lifestyles.
I have completed both a Masters degree in Human Nutrition and a Physical Education degree from the University of Otago. I am a lecturer in Nutrition at AUT University and am completing my PhD in public health, looking specifically at workplace health.  I am a member of the New Zealand Nutrition Society and Sport Science New Zealand.
